Here are some quick answers to the most common questions.

Quite possibly – let’s find out.

Modern braces are way more comfortable than ever before. Many patients experience either no or modest discomfort during the initial phase of treatment. Our technique emphasizes gentle tooth movements and fast appointments.

Every case and child is different. We have to see them to find out. We can discuss with you whether the time is right to come in for a free consultation. The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that your child see an orthodontist no later than age 7, and we agree.

Why not? It’s free! If you are concerned that you are over-paying elsewhere, or if you’re not sure why an orthodontist is recommending expensive two-phase treatment (braces or oral appliances at a young age and then braces again later)- come see us. There may be other options and you may be very happy that you did.

Studies show that the majority of adolescents benefit from orthodontic treatment and that braces are the treatment option of choice for the vast majority of cases. Some kids do benefit from aligners, and we can discuss with you the relative merits of each treatment approach.

We highly recommend that aligner treatment be directed by an orthodontist who is an expert in tooth movements.

The costs vary by the particular case, but you can be sure that ALTA SMILES offers amazingly low prices (typically 20-30% below the competition), and we provide fixed pricing and easy payment options so you can afford it.

Everyone wants to know this question. We give you our best estimate as to treatment times when you come see us. Factors such as patient compliance (brushing, flossing, etc.) and difficulty of the case are the major considerations. As a general rule of thumb treatment times can range from less than 6 months to two years or more.

ALTA Clear™ Braces are very discreet, and they provide all of the advantages that fixed appliances are known for. That includes the ability to treat a much broader range of cases, precise tooth positioning and the ability to live your life during treatment without having to take aligners in and out in order to eat or drink anything other than water.

Many dental insurance policys provide some level of orthodontic coverage. Our Care Specialist help you get all the insurance coverage you’re entitled to.

Of course! There are many options, and we help you find the one that’s right for you!

These are just a handful of the questions we are asked all the time. When we see you in person, we will answer all of your questions!
